Part Time Administrator – Small Animal, Severn Edge Vets, Craven Arms, Shropshire.

25.5 hours a week

Monday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am to 1:30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday 1:45pm to 18:45pm. Saturday 10:00am to 1pm 1 in 6.

Will need to be flexible for holiday cover on reception.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time administrator at our Craven Arms branch.  The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and the confidence to work independently.

Main purpose of the role: To be responsible for the efficient running of a branch to ensure delivery of a professional and high quality service to our clients that meets relevant veterinary standards.

Main duties:
• Complying with procedures such as sickness absence management and continuous professional development to ensure a consistent approach is taken across the business and to maximise staff morale
• Manage employee rotas, holiday requests, TOIL and other absences to ensure adequate staffing levels
• Oversee health & safety activity on site
• Take a proactive approach to managing client complaints and initiate remedial action where needed
• Timely delegation of tasks, such as branch orders, cleaning, stock management, procurement of branch equipment
• Minimise debtor delays within branch by leading a proactive approach to secure payment
• Timely delivery of administrative duties, including provision of ‘cash books'
• Any other duties as and when they arise
• Liaise with the Practice Manager.
• Some reception duties

• Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to ensure excellent patient and client care.
• Communication skills and an ability to influence others.
• Excellent organisational skills and conscientious approach.
• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
• GCSE (or equivalent) passes in mathematics & English.
