Severn Edge Veterinary Group and Newlands Veterinary Group are delighted to announce the coming together of our two businesses. These two like minded practices have decided to join forces to share expertise and experience, reinforcing their aim to provide the highest quality of service. Existing customers will experience the same quality of care from the members of staff in their respective branches. If you ever find yourselves in the Ludlow, Church Stretton or Craven Arms area and in need of a vet, you can take advantage of the new surgeries, safe in the knowledge your histories can be readily accessed. Our surgeries in Ludlow, Craven Arms and Church Stretton will continue to be run in the same way as they always have been by our existing staff but behind the scenes we will be part of a larger team.
The Severn Edge Veterinary Group is a privately run practice formed four years ago following the coming together of Hollybush Veterinary Group in Bridgnorth and the Old Pound Veterinary Centre in Much Wenlock for reasons similar to us now joining with Newlands Veterinary Group: to provide the best quality and care to the animals entrusted to us through a traditional independently run veterinary business.
Being part of a larger organization brings enormous benefits: we are able to develop our expertise and enthusiasm alongside a group of like-minded colleagues, we have access to more of the expensive diagnostic equipment required within the modern veterinary profession and we are able to offer more services such as Orthopaedic work and Laparoscopic surgery at our hospital-based practice in Bridgnorth.
One important advantage of our business is that we have access to the hospital facilities (approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) for our Emergency work. Thankfully the majority of our clients never need to call us ‘out of hours’ but those of you who do will be pleased to know that your pet will be cared for in a modern hospital facility which is staffed around the clock by fully trained and dedicated staff. Emergency and Critical patients have access to constant supervision.
You may initially worry that this is some distance away geographically. We have spent considerable time in developing this service and are certain that if you have cause to use the facility you will be impressed by the level of care and understand why we came to this decision.
If any of you wish to talk to us further about this venture please feel free to contact us any time. The staff at Bridgnorth would be delighted show you round the Hospital if you wish to meet them. We will be inviting everyone to an open day next spring so that you will be able to get a better insight into the facilities that are available.
On behalf of all the staff at Severn Edge and Newlands veterinary group we look forward to providing even better care for your animals for many years to come.
